Seeking Inspiration

To continue our support for the national parks, and so my wife could add another magnet to the fridge, we went to Zion National Park.  We stayed several days in Springdale, UT, just outside the park. 

Each year, the Denver Botanic Gardens hosts a competition with other gardens across the globe to see who can grow the largest water lily that can hold the most weight. 

The centerpiece is a pair of large-scale human heads sculpted from steel wire, “Julia and Lou, ” roughly 12 feet high and 12 feet deep, facing one another above the Monet Pond as if in silent conversation.
